LUNG CANCER-NON-SMOKERS AT RISK!
Most of us non-smokers feel we've got little to worry about when it comes to lung cancer. After all, isn't it the disease of smokers? According to recent studies in the British Medical Journal, people who have never smoked before as well as ex-smokers, are all at risk of developing the disease. In fact, about 50,000 deaths per year can be attributed to second hand smoke and toxic fumes. Lung cancer does not limit itself to smokers.Although rarely discussed, exposure to toxic fumes in the workplace or environmental toxins in the air contribute to a significant number of deaths from lung cancer. For example, occupational exposure to diesel motor emissions, asbestos, and paint was found to be significantly correlated with an increased risk of lung cancer.In addition, a study on smokers from Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers Prevention showed that the fumes from frying oil, meat, or barbecuing have been found to also significantly increase the risk of lung cancer. This means working in a kitchen can put you at higher risk too. WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO
my 3 friends i knew for years. we hangout with each other since we were babies(toodlers). one of them i knew like he was my brother you know. my mom told me that he was smoking and i couldnt believe it. so one day i was at his house with some guys playing ssbb. sure enough i saw a blunt in his hand now hes younger than i am. hes 18 and im 21. from what i saw he was smoking i couldnt believe but i tried to look at it as if its normal. so i wont be in no argument. it was like a slap in my face when i saw him smoking. i seen what happens when ppl(in my family) smoke they either on oxygen tanks, lung cancer, liver damage or takung trips to the clinic every week all atpund the age of 30,40 or50 years old. hell ppl die in my family cause of that crap. now i feel like i should just find new friends. my dad smoke died at 45 with smoking problems.wheni was little he used to smoke in the car abd i had to open the door and he hated that. i ...
